Spaceships & Starwyrms Kickstarter

It’s official – the Spaceships & Starwyrms Kickstarter is coming on April 25th.

We know that many of you have asked us for more details since we broke the news on Tuesday, and while we do have lots of content on the calendar for the weeks leading up to the launch, we wanted to answer some immediate questions.

We’ve chosen to do a Kickstarter for two primary reasons:

  1. To get a print run of the Core Sourcebook and share it in a timely fashion, and
  2. To push out our first expansion on the game: The Galactic Primer on Natural Environments

There are some other rewards available in the campaign, including a Kickstarter-exclusive Galactic Adventure Module, but those two goals were at the top of our list.

When the question of whether or not to do a Kickstarter campaign arose (back before we even published the Core Sourcebook!), we knew it would take a lot of work and research. We’ve been developing this project for a long time and we have a great team of people helping us. There’s still more work to do, but everything being offered in the base rewards of this Kickstarter is currently in playtesting already! We want to bring you quality products with minimal wait time.

What can you do while you wait? Tell people about the project! We are so grateful for all the support we’ve received so far, and we are dedicated to continuing to listen and respond to the community with full transparency.

Thanks for coming on this journey with us. Best wishes from the stars.

-Ben and Audrey
