At first glance, this tiny creature is often mistaken for a mote of light or a fuzzy seedling floating through the air. In actuality, it is mouse-like, with a small pointed nose framed by whiskers and fuzzy fur covering its body. The translucent wings on the Murinelle’s back are reminiscent of a dragonfly. Though Murinelles originated in the Fae Beyond, many of them nest in forests and tangles of wires or vines on the material plane. The Murinelle makes a faint jingling sound wherever it moves, and the sound has become associated with good luck in some parts of the Nacora. Although they are sought after as unique familiars, they lose all their powers if they are not acting entirely under their own free will (this includes being summoned).
Bestow Luck. The murinelle can use its action to grant good luck or inflict bad luck on a creature it can see. The next time a creature granted good luck fails an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw that creature is considered to have rolled a natural 20 instead. The next time a creature inflicted with bad luck succeeds on an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw that creature is considered to have rolled a natural 1 instead.
The full stat block for the Murinelle can be found in the Galactic Primer on Natural Environments as part of the Spaceships & Starwyrms Kickstarter on April 25.
